Power outtage in my area, now computer wont work?
Answers:
try and take the power cord in the back out, sometimes there is a switch behind the computer that will turn the comptuer on and off, if its set to off then it won't turn on. the power outage might have also ruined ur power supply, and you might need to get a new one, they go for around 30 dollars so its not too bad,
probably fried the power supply motherboard or any number of other internal parts. if ya got home owners ins. they should cover it then get a good battery ups to plug the comp into surge protectors are worthless. also make sure to have protection on cable and phone lines.
your system got fried
Sounds like a power surge problem. First, are you plugged in my way of a power surge protector. This may have to be reset or replaced.
The first thought was a tripped surge protector but I suppose the monitor and printer would also be plugged into it. One possibility is on some systems there is a front panel on/off switch and another one on the back. This is to allow automatic power off when windows is shut down. It's worth a look in back.
If you have verified that the outlet is live, my last guess would be the fuse inside the power supply might have popped.
i think there is a problem with ur cpu power supply. it might be that ur internal componenets of SMPS are Burnt. try with replacing with new SMPS
