Can you install Video card in a computer that has intergrated graphics?
Answers:
As long as there is an expansion slot, it's no problem.
You just might need to disable the "onboard" integrated graphics from running during your installation of the new card.
If she has PCI-Express slot, use that. If not, use AGP, if not use PCI.
Also don't forget to plug the monitor into the new video card connector, rather than the one it's currently plugged into, or it won't work properly.
yes
Yep, it's possible as long as she has an expansion slot to hold the card you plan to install. Be sure to plug the monitor into the *new* graphics card when you boot the computer up. Usually graphics card instructions tell you more about the install process.
yes but disable the onboard graphics in bios first
MAKE SURE you find out what expansion slots are available first. AGP or PCI-E for example.
Also 5200 will not run Sims 2 very well.
You have to find out if the computer has an AGP or PCI Express slot (though, you can get regular PCI video cards I suppose). If you are lucky, the BIOS will automatically detect that the monitor is connected to the new video card... if not, then you have to modify the BIOS settings which I would not recommend without the assistance of a handy computer geek.
Go to the manufacturer's website and check what the motherboard came with as far as expansion slots. Then you will know what type card to use, as far as pci, agp, or pci-e.
yes you can but when you install the drivers you will have to go to the device manager to make sure you dont hane any conflicts you may have to disable one of the video adapters. if you have any conflicts your computer will not boot or you will have no screen. You will have to boot into the safe mode to disable one of the adapters.
