How to overclock my computer? are there any requirements?

here are my pc specs:Intel Pentium 4. motherboard: VIA P4M266A-8235
(400MHz bus)

Answers:
The Via chipset is not the best and fastest dog on the block - although it is adequate.
I would not recommend you do this because of the considerable risk to damaging the P4 or the motherboard.
Rather than overclocking - consider a socket 775 motherboard upgrade - check to see if your P4 would be compatible.
only an expert should overclock, otherwise you may burn up your motherboard, very dangerous if not done properly
