How can you tell if your video card has the capabilities to support two (or more) computer screens? I am currently using the Intel 82865G Graphics Controller. If this is not capable of supporting multiple screens is there something (besides another graphics card) that I can buy to give me this option?
Thanks in advance.

Onboard graphic chips won't have the juice to run dual monitors well. You should be able to find a card that supports this for under $100.
Right click on your desktop, click properties, look under settings and see if there are 2 boxes. Plug another monitor in and check "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor.
It sounds like you're using an integrated graphics set, and not an actual card for your computer. Sadly, these integrated sets are very bad at...everything. You will, unfortunately, need a new graphics card.
