That processor BLOWS. Get a Core 2 Duo E6420 or E6600. They run at faster speeds and have more cache memory. And get the fastest speed memory you can. Maybe run a raid hard drive set-up with 2 smaller hard drives. It would be faster. 64 bit OS. Get a separate video card that is not turbo cache. It takes away from your processor.
Yes, I have an HP laptop from 3 years ago that has worst specs than that, and I run all those programs at the same time with no problem. You should definitely be fine running all those applications at once.
yes that computer will fit your needs
I looks good, but you didn't show a video card. Just make sure your video card has 256Mb of it's own memory and you've got yourself one smokin' system.
thats apps doesnt takes much of your memory to run, so they will run smoothly on the specifications u mentioned.
That is a very good computer.
Intel Core 2 Duo is a new ground up cpu. (none of that Pentium over heat, over enegry crap.)
yeah, but a Mac would be better. you can get all of those programs for a mac u know... and it would run a hell of a lot faster, and won't freeze up, get viruses (VISTA!!), spyware, all that stuff.
GOod Luck!
Yes it would be a very good computer now I'm not an expert but if it goes slow or freezes on you then you may have to UN install some thing because the computer cant take that much going on. i hope this will answer your question
It's overkill for what you do.
This is the best deal in the Sunday ads (the one with the red background):
http://circuitcity.shoplocal.com/circuit...
19" Widescreen LCD
AMD dual-core processor (two processors in one chip)
1gb of RAM (memory)
250gb hard drive
DVD / CD burner
If it doesn't feel fast enough for you, I would add 1gb of RAM:

If you want it to perform even better, add a cheap video card:

This will keep the PC from using the main system RAM as Video-RAM, which will increase system responsiveness as the system RAM will not constantly be swapping Video-RAM data with regular data. In laymans terms, think of a busy intersection as your main system RAM being used as video RAM, while having a seperate video card is more akin to an uncongested country road.
Youtube.com has plenty on install videos for RAM and video cards:

Most PC's from HP/Dell/Gateway/etc. do not come with even cheap video cards like the one I linked to. They instead have a single video chip on the motherboard (maximizes their profits). You honestly have to spend around $1,000 or so for them to even through in a $65 graphics card. Pathetic.
