My problem is-------?

i have an intel core2duo E6750 processor and my motherboard is DG33FB and i have a 320gb 16mb buffer harddisk and a 2 gbram but when i try to copy 2 files which is 1.11 gb and 3gb respectively at once it takes a really long time it tells that it's gonna take some 222 min or so for one file and about 50min for the other.i thought with core2duo u could cpy 2 files easily.what is the problem?

Answers:
Having two processors does not mean you can make transfers of that magnitude with not bottlenecking. What having dual processors enables you to do is processor more things at once. That means more calculations within the CPU not transfer files. You are still limited by the pipeline that the data is transferred across. That much data will take a long time to move across the pipeline.
Too many variables involved to give you an intelligent answer. There are programs available on the Internet for this very thing - one of the best Acornis - it has a 30 day free trial.
