How to remove saved as desk top item?

Shift+Delete and then Enter,deletion without a trace.
Right click and delete it or open windows explorer and drag it to a new folder on your hard drive

you can remove a saved desktop item by
1: holding shift down and pressing delete tand enter to remove it wwithout it going to your recycle bin
2: press only delete to remove it your recycle bin
3: right clicking and deleting
If they are unneeded the programs you'll need to uninstall them, but if its just a picture or document all you need to do is delete it. Deleting an icon from the desktop doesn't mean that the program isn't imstalled on your computer. So if you need to free up some hard drive space and won't need the applications anymore uninstall first and if the icons remain on desktop delete them.
