Can I record one DVD to another DVD with DVD recorder?

I recently bought a DVD recorder/VHS combo. I also would like to burn DVD to DVD. Can I hook up a portable DVD player or something similar to the DVD recorder and record that way as well?

Answers:
you can record the output of the DVD player into the input of your DVD recorder, but I think the quality of the recording might be affected. Be sure to check copyrights before doing so.

HTH!
Most DVD recorder/VHS combo allow to attach an external DVD and copy from the one to the other (assuming there is no copyright protection). In case there is no automatic copying option you can still copy manually -by plugging the external device and play while you record into the internal one.
If you want to record from one DVD to another, just hook up a dvd player to the recorder via audio/video cables. The cables should go from the dvd player's "output" plugs, to the dvd recorder's "input" plugs.
Yes, hook the combo up to a stand alone DVD Recorder and record that way.
