Lookin to spend 2500$ for a new pc..?

main purposes for gaming and dvd burning.

I have heard conflicting stories about gaming and the new intel processors, not sure if to try it or go with a athlon.

Any thoughts/advice?

if you wanna build or get a pc for gaming and dvd burning...the perfect processor would be Intel Core 2 Quad 8 MB L2 Cache...1066MHz

more info about that processor at

that would be the best for you since more cache helps you enjoy gaming and the FSB is also not bad 1066Mhz will help you process the data at a faster rate which helps to burn your DVD faster.

You can also over clock it...

look at some of the dell XPS systems too...
get a mac..
Try AlienWare. http://www.alienware.com Those things are built for Gamers.
Get a dell pc

$2500 is a lot of cash to spend on a PC and you can get a great onr too. Get the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It's the best on the market right now and it looks like it will stay that way for now. I would recommend a AlienWare or a Voodoo. These computers are built primarily for gaming and are quite expensive but you can customize them to you needs.
