You could try re-seating all hardware on the motherboard but I'm guessing you'll find that the motherboard itself has died. I had a similar situation with an older eMachine we inherited. I swapped out components with parts I had lying around and in the end, it appeared that the motherboard itself was dead.
Unhook every thing but one piece of ram, the psu, the mobo, and start from there.
2 things pop to mind. 1. Did it overheat and shutdown on you the last time you used it? If so yu'll need to reset the computer.2. Is the motherboard recieving the power from the PSU? there should be a green light somewhere on the motherboard signifying it's recieving power.
I had a similar prob and it came down to faulty RAM. The thing didn't post, nothing on the screen, changing RAM got it back to windows.
Try simple things first Install a ps2 keyboard and mouse. Remove pci-e video card(check if its seated and if extra power supply is plugged in first,) and replace with old pci card. Try to boot . Check to see if extra power supply to cpu is plugged in properly. Check your cpu fan. this can be done with an adaptor to a 5 volt connector and make sure its plugged the cpu fan socket#1 Disconect all periphials including ide drives(cd,dvd) Disconnect sata drive and reconnect Take ram and cpu to a best buy and have tested. If its none of the above and your sure its not the power supply then its the mother board( check and see if any capacitators are blistered or bulging or blackspots on bottom and top of board) Sometimes there are no visible signs. I had two MSI boards do this, one showed bulges and blisters the other nothing and they were never over clocked either.
*phew* It sounds like you know what you are doing. You've tried just about everything I would except test the RAM.
Try using just one stick of RAM. If it still won't post then try using just the other stick of RAM. Both going bad at the same time would be unlikely (but not impossible).
You are right in that usually it will beep at you if there's a bad stick of RAM. Usually, but not always.
Only thing that leaves then is a bad power supply or a bad mobo/bios. You say you've already disconnected all non-necessary components and it made no difference, so it's probably not the PS. BUT when you power it up do the fans spin? The fans should start up even if it doesn't post, all they need is power. Same for the light on the DVD drive. And don't forget to test the on/off switch on the case and make sure it's hooked up properly. I've seen that cable come loose before.
