Help! My Windows98 is not working right!?

My Windows98 takes awhile to start. The picture is blurry, all the colors are wrong(especially the "click"). It's very slow and it freezes while in progress. How can I safely fix/upgrade my computer through the internet? Do I have to get it looked at by a professional? Could the problem be a virus? I'd appreciate any help or advice with this problem. Thank you.

Sorry but 98 is not supported any longer. You could pay some GEEK to tweak it, but you would be money ahead going to XP.
it sounds like your problem might be with your graphics driver. i suggest you upgrade your computer ti windows 2000 (not windows xp this will slow it down trust me!!!!!) .this will delete everything on your computer sadly. the only way to do this owuld be to get the install disc from a friend. ask around many people might have one
My advice to you is to find a cheap computer under $300. Windows 98 is outdated, so you might as well get XP. Finding someone to tweak your pc, would cost the same as buying a new pc.
Your problem is that you have an old computer.

No amount of upgrading (hardware or software) will make it run like current computers.

The only thing you could do is upgrade your RAM that's the fastest and relatively cheapest way to make it run a lil faster.
