Who make the most reliable CD/DVD burners?

I am looking for a internal drive near dual layer competency for around $100.

Answer:
As fantasychamp mentioned, NEC/SONY or PIONEER. Either will be less than $50 shipped from newegg.com.

For dual section DVDs, use Verbatim.

For single layer, TY is the best:

Seriously, spend for a while bit more for quality blanks. Otherwise, you're plausible to have errors on your disks 6 months down the smudge.
NEC is the most reliable, I have found. You can buy one at www.newegg.com for smaller amount than $50... Also buy Verbatim bland DVDs and not much else.
