Why alphabets on a computer keyboard are arranged randomly,insted of in a proper sequence?

it goes back to the days of typewriters, the QWERTY keyboard was set up because some letters are used more often than others. If you are a touch typinst, you have the most used keys where you can find them easier
so it will be harder for programmers to type (don't laugh coz i'm serious)
Because the person who developed the first typewriter, purposely arranged the keys in a random design. The reason why it was never changed is because many,many people would have to relearn how to type. The home row keys are the center.
