Is there any hard-ware device to increase interNet speed?

i am using bsnl broadband Rs 500 plane and my os is win XP+sp2 . with Intel 946 mother board ... pentium(R) D cpu 2.8 RAM 1GB.
I made the Reserband width to zero by editing gpedit.msc.

Buy a good DSL modem and use it. don't rely on the modem they supply .
