Can you switch the letters of your cd/disk drives on your computer?
Answers:
Your question does not specify what operating system is loaded on your system - replacement mainboard makes me think PC and Micro$oft...
1) Right mouse button click your 'My Computer' Icon.
2) Choose 'Manage' from the menu
Micro$oft Management Console opens
3) Choose 'Disk Management'
4) Right mouse button click your CD\DVD drive (left most box) and choose 'Change Drive letter and Path
A 'Change drive letters and path' window appears
5) Click the 'Change' button
In the window that appears, you can use the scroll bar to change or assign another drive letter to the CD\DVD drive. The drive letters available are the 'available' letter not assigned to other drive volumes.
6) Select your drive letter and click the 'OK' button
Ignore the scary message that application will not run.
Exit.
You should be done.
