My computer is going incredibly slow and isn't allowing me to preform simple tasks, whats wrong?

Answer:
There are several primary areas that could be cause your computer to run slow. The most likely rationale is that Corruption within your registry key, registry classes, and registry settings, you have too frequent programs running behind the scene and your system is essentially running in circles next to its internal processing.
To determine if your system is in certainty running slow because of problems in your registry and temp files and after speed up your computer, you will need to run a self diagnostic program call regsitry cleaner. This program is very intensely useful,it can fix regsitry errors, verbs registry remnant, corrupt files and temp files in a few minutes. Then provide you a bran-new and high-speed computer. There are collection and comparison of top rated registry cleaner:

Computers are tricky, while some require simple appointments to work, other require extremely complicated stuff...

I usually fix these problems with simple methods, do the following:
-Run a virus scan beside an updated antivirus program
-Inside the start menu, programs, accesories, system tools, open "disk cleanup" if it's the first time you use it, it may give somebody a lift a while to work. Run the program checking every option the program let you clean (temporary internet files, stopgap files, downloaded programs, recycle bin, offline wepages... compress old files is optional)
-Defragment your disk, is also below system files
-Restart
-If it's still slow, you may have SPAM, Viruses or you of late need a cleaning program to relief you with the project

try buying some cleaning software, the ones from webroot are very honest, I've used them and my computer is always working greatly!
they flog: antispyware, antispyware with antivirus and fanlight washer
There's more than one thing that can basis this but I've found that most people enjoy a problem with insufficient memory. Many programs that you install will put a shortcut contained by your startup folder so they'll automatically start when your computer starts. They take up memory and the more programs embark on, the less memory and the slower your computer will operate.

Look at your mission bar. How heaps different icons do you see to the instantaneous left of the time? You probably enjoy programs open that you're not even aware of or involve.

If this is the problem, I do not recommend you attempt to fix it yourself unless you know of specific programs that you don't need and can uninstall. Even after, there will probably be programs running that you don't know roughly speaking.

The fix for this is to go into the startup menu and unchecking the boxes for programs you don't stipulation but unless you know exactly what you're doing, you take a accident of really screwing things up. Better to be slow than not work at adjectives.

Another thing that cause computers to slow down is fragmentation of your hard drive. This is a simple fix and Windows will even put in the picture you whether you need to fix it or not. Click on your Start button, afterwards All Programs, then Accessories, after the System Tools folder. You should see Disk Defragmentor. Click on this and a new fanlight will pop up. Highlight your C: drive by clicking on it, then click on the Analyze button. A fresh window should pop up within a couple seconds describing you that analysis is complete and whether you should defragment your hard drive or not. If so, click the defragment button, except, just close the fanlight.

In over 90% of the cases of computer slow down I've seen, these be the two main problems. If fragmention is not the problem you should return with a friend or aquaintence with actual computer knowledge to lend a hand you with the first problem I mentioned. Taking it to a professional is a finishing resort in my belief since they don't know what programs you use every day or want to start when you start your computer. You're better bad doing it with a friend so you can be at hand telling him what programs you use and he can push for you on whether you really need them surrounded by startup or whether it would be better to just undo them as needed.

Should you choose to attempt to do this yourself, click on your Start button, then click on Run. A small box will unfurl. Type in "msconfig" (without the quotes) next click OK. A new box will depart with several tab across the top. Click on the Startup tab. You should see the checkboxes I mentioned earlier. ( I assume NO responsibility for anything that happen from this point on.)

Only uncheck boxes for programs that you know you don't need at startup i.e. Yahoo messenger, Weatherbug, MyspaceIM etc. You can other open these as needed and they'll free up some memory. When you're done, click OK and restart your computer. You should see a trial dialog box when your computer starts that says something more or less Selective Startup (I'm doing this part from memory and I haven't have to do it for a long time so bear next to me). Click on "Don't show this again" or something similar then click OK. Hopefully your computer will start customarily and it should be noticeably faster.

One ending thing. Have you checked for virus or spyware, adware etc? If not, do so immediately. I didn't mention this first since most computers come prepackaged beside software for this and I assume that you have already checked for these problems.

I hope this answers your put somebody through the mill and solves the problem.

Good luck.
Udate your firewall and scan your coputer in past the worst mode. After you remove virus trojan, I recommend you use firefox browser. It can prevent viruses such as worm, trojan and etc.The most up-to-date official edition of firefox can be downloaded from http://www.mollzia.com
