What is north bridge and what is south bridge contained by PC.?

plz dispense me any website that explains it or u people bequeath me some detailsszz..

Answer:
Alright...I can't really go into alot of detail past its sell-by date the top of my head...

The north bridge and south bridge are a chipset located on the motherboard.

The northbridge is usually larger and usually have a heatsink on it, its usually closer to the processor. It receives information from AGP video cards and RAM. The northbridge consequently send it to the processor.

The southbridge is smaller and I haven't see a heatsink on one yet (but i'm sure within is on a few super duper motherboards). The southbridge is not a direct connection to the processor, the northbridge is high on teh priority list for the processor. but the SB (southbridge) simply gets info from adjectives teh other devices (USB, PCI, and other stuff)

hopefully that helps
