Step by step installation red hat 9?

i work ona pc with 40 gb hard disk loaded with xp s2
20 gb C drive consists OS files and 20 gb D drive has a little data i just took backup of
i wonna blow XP and install Red Hat 9
i 've installed the OS on an empty partitioned stand alone PC in GUI mode but never did a total blowing up of an OS,

could u clear my doubts and help me out
