Is Asus p4p800E deluxe motherboard is a good motherboard?
Answers:
Not a good in now day. P4P800E deluxe is too out of day. And it can meet the fade out INTEL cpu only. If you want to buy a ASUS motherboard, please the black color PCB not a yellow one. An ASUS yellow PCB motherboard is using a low grade ingredient also coming with low quality. The black PCB motherboard is a better choice as it using a sold capacity and other things. Why didn't you choose P5B-K? it is a smart choice and can fit the CORE 2 DUO E6x00 series. I want to remind you that P35 chip set motherboard has been out now. For future upgrade, choose a smart one.

Asus makes good motherboards, but the p4p800 deluxe is out of production [supports older gen cpu, memory, and gpu interface].
If you're not ready for the expense of replacing the bulk of your comp [mb, cpu, ram, and video (at the very least)], a new hard drive and more ram [you didn't mention how much] may just put you over the top until you've got the cash.
I read the other posts regarding video card etc. as well. In it's day the video card was nice. When I built my system it was pretty [budget] 'leet', but it's been a while. I still get frigging amazing FPS in WoW, but much of that is probably more about having an uncluttered system [partitioned drive with over 67% OS drive, and 90% something free on the game partition].
current system Asus A8N-E mb, AMD 3200, 1gb patriot ram, HIS X800 GTO video, and i think a WD 250gb drive. BEST fps in WoW was over 180 [pre-expansion], but with all video options turned on I still only have issues when THEY have issues.
