Answers:
turn on your speakers
check on the back of your computer to see if your speakers are plugged in good. They can come loose.
YA CLEAR UR EARS
check if the volume is turned right down or if it is on mute
Check Internet options

play sound is on...
hey yea unmute your volume
Go to your taskbar at the bottom of your computer and find the volume icon. usually it looks like a little speaker, but if you put your cursor over it, it should even say volume. Right click and open the volume control. Make sure the sound tabs are all the way up and the boxes that say "mute" are not checked.
I don understand you question, are you playing the music from the external speaker or the one which is inbuilt?

If it happens to be first time you are playing music on your computer, be sure to check all the speaker connection. If everthin is fine, then there should be a problem with your sound card. Borrow a sound card from your friend and check if it plays with the help of that sound card. If it plays then change your sound card.
Can you hear sound or music anywhere else? Do you hear any sounds from the computer?

a few standard steps:
Check to see if the speakers are turned on.
Check to see if the speaker volume is turned up.
Check to see if the speaker connection is connected at the back of the computer, and make sure it's connected to the correct port. Most these days are green, but check the documentation on the sound card or motherboard if it's built in, system documentation if it's prebuilt.
Check to see if you have a speaker volume control (it looks like a little speaker or if you have a sound blaster it may be a button with a speaker looking icon) in your system tray, and if so click it and make sure the sound is turned up. If it is double click on the icon and check to see all volumes are up. You may have one or more turned down for some reason.

If that doesn't help then I think it's phone a friend time...
Did you check the device manager? Make sure its ok. It might need a driver reinstall? Start; settings; system, device manager.
