I've been looking into MacBook Pro but don't know what version is best for music production. Please help!

I've seen a book about using Macs for music, but it only refers to eMac, iBook, PowerBook and Power Mac G5. Do any of these refer to any of the 3 versions of MacBook Pro?

Answers:
those aren't referring to the Pro models. You're going to want either a MacBook Pro 15 or 17", or a G5 workstation. The software you'll want is Apple's Logic Pro or Logic Express, depending on the level you want to get into. Basically, the Pro model books are laptops with desktop power.
no but, i have a macbook pro 4gb ram, 250gb memory and its very fast, i think this is a good computer for entertainment.
The powerbook is the old name for what the macbook pro is the book you were reading must be at least 2 years old.
When you say "Music production"...are you talking about VST, sequencing etc?... a big hunky clean box is required, preferably dedicated to music only.Carillon will build one for you
