What is the difference between the following Ram Cards? (SDRAM & DIMM) which is best?

hi i would close to to upgrade the speed of my computer but i am stuck between chosing the SDRAM ram card or the DIMM push card. I dont know if there is a differece between the two or possibly one is an older journal. Please help as i would close to to purchase one streight away.

Answer:
dimms are the newer
they most likely would be surrounded by larger sticks as well as human being faster
Go for dimms
You cannot mix dimms and simms - different voltages . You might get away next to it but the results will be eratic.
If you could many culture would of built junk computers from them.
sdram comes surrounded by different speeds not only one.
If it works the system will dumb down to the lowest speed of the one working.
Speeds are pc133 , workstation 100 edo , pc 66
boot up.
If it boots and not stop and beep that is a suitable sign.
Go into the bios and see how much memory it reads.
It is trial and error.
You want at most minuscule as fast a bump as the bus speed
for example if you had computer near a bus speed of 100
( most p2s and even some pentium 4s) if you put in notebook 66 ram and it worked it would be preferential as the clock speed would run at a slower 66 mhz fairly than 100.
Last ly you will find double sided or "low density " ram.
These be more expensive to make and will commonly run in computers that are finicky or will not nick the less expensive single sided hit.
It is all trial and error.
Unplug the computer when you are putting within the new bump.
Make sure that you put it in tight and blow out any dust surrounded by the slot.
depends on your computer, i don't think you are competent to put both types of rams. depinde de placa de baza
DIMM is an acronym for Double Inline Memory Module; I guess you intended DDRAM, which is indeed better, but you must first look in your motherboard's tech specs to see what big-hearted of RAM it supports. If it supports both, go for DDRAM! but for, look for PC133 rated SDRAM!

(even if both types are supported, they can never be used together... )

FYI: both DDRAM and SDRAM are DIMMs! DIMM is a form factor for the memory module, while DD and SD are the technologies used by the RAM chips.
It depends. DIMM's are usually faster, but it depends on the rated speed (MHZ) of respectively. ie. most SDRAM modules I've seen are contained by the 133mhz area, while the DIMMS usually clock surrounded by about 533 mhz. Also check your motherboard and operating system to breed sure that the type/size/speed are supported by your computer.

Good luck!
SDRAM stands for Single Density Random Memory where as DIMM stands for Dual Inline Memory Module-and the two are NOT compatible. All current motherboards use DIMMs-SDram is from the elder systems.
My advice is to check which strike is compatible with the motherboard first.Secondly if it is a elder system that you have,it would be better if you can upgrade the board -but that will be a bit more costly.
