Keyboard Does Not Work?
Note: All the USB ports work, but just not for my keyboard

Your keyboard is probably about to go buns-up. It's cheap enough to replace, so go ahead and get a new one and see if it behaves any better. It should!
Maybe its the keyboard? Maybe its something in the cord, or most likely I don't have a clue what I'm talking about :)
My advice it take it into circet city they have a great computer help team. That is where I recomend. They do cost but they are great.
Sounds to me your keyboard faulty but lets check a few things before you throw the baby out with the bathwater
I have you got a combined mouse keyboard transmitter
Most likely as the mouse works the transmitter is OK We need to change the battery in the mouse quite often but not the key board so lets change the batteries & check we are transmitting on the right channel some key boards have a switch 1_or 2 channel try both no luck
