DVD Burner is super slow. Why?
First of adjectives I have a Sony DVD Rom DDU1613 and the writer is an Atapi DVD DD 2x16x4x16
I use adjectives HP DVD-r (16X)
Right now I'm running Roxio Disc Copier (I'm singular copying dvd-r's, not real dvd's) and It's set to burn at 16X. Right immediately the average write speed is 0.2x.
What is up with that? I hold over 1 GB ram, I enjoy all programs cut stale, I just only just ran a registry cleaner.
Can someone give an account me what in the heck is going on?
One guy said regulation the IDE in the device bureaucrat .
Changing the IDE from PIO to DMA did not work.
It's even set to Ultra DMA. No change at adjectives.
If anyone has any accepted wisdom, please help.

make sure your using a 16x disk.
look at the speed 4 16 54 the greater the number the better
woah .2x that must be a agony in the butt. Maybe there's a bug or something and nearby has be a firmware update release??? The RAM is definitely not a problem.
WHAT ARE THE SPEEDS ON YOUR DVD'S AND 16 SPEED IS NOT GOING TO BURN FAST THEY USALLY WRITE ABOUT HALF OF WHAT THE SPEED IS SO IF I HAVE A 32 SPEED DVD WRITER IT BURNS ABOUT 16 SPEED TRY A DVD LIKE 48X52X48 AND TRY UNINSTALLING YOUR BURNING SOFTWARE AND REINSTALLING IT AGAIN I BURN DVD'S AT ABOUT 7-9 MINUTES I AM USING DVD FAB GOLD TRY THAT TOO
Are you using 16x or high DVDs, not rewritable, they are slower. Antivirus sometimes messes with burners, turn it sour and try to burn, then turn it on after your done.
Also see if the jersey on the drive is on master.
