About Zip drives?

Are Zip drives easy to install for back up? Do they usually come with instructions? Do they connect to the extra drive connector in the PC tower or to the mother board?

Answers:
backups might be easier with usb memory sticks or cd/dvd burners. zip drives are pretty much useless these days. they never really worked well, they weren't reliable, they were slow and have very limited capacity compare to today's technology. if you have one already and you're simply trying to use it, you'll have to download the program to run it, first. they usually plug in to your parallel port - your printer port - or your usb port, depending on the version.
Zip drives are mainly suitable for sending very large files over the internet. For backup you would be much better off to buy an external hard drive. They are USB connected, pretty easy to use, and are not really expensive.
