Microprocessor and RAM?
I need some explanation because of my computer was very slow
Answers:
RAM ( Random Access Memory ) Opens the things you want. Anything you do goes through that. For example the first time u use lets say MS Word, it takes a little time. Once you open it again, it wont take as long, because it has already gon through the RAM etc.
The microprocessor is the brain of the motherboard which calculates everthing going through it(more commonly called CPU)
RAM is physical memory which can be accessed much faster than hard drive/flash etc and comes in many sizes and specs - SDR(old)DDR (old standard)DDRII(standard nowadays. make sure you get the correct RAM for your system if you are upgrading and maybe look at upgrading the Motherboard/CPU as well.
microprocess is the heart of the system it keeps everything running smoothly. Since you didn't mention your system specs users in XP should have 512 meg of ram (1 gig is better) and Vista 1 gig of ram is pretty much required. If you have an older system (3 years or more) then to notice a difference you need a new ram, motherboard and processor.
RAM is random access memory its a type of data storage and your computer will not run without it.
A microprocessor is a programmable digital electronic component that incorporates the functions of a central processing unit (CPU) on a single semiconducting integrated circuit (IC). The microprocessor was born by reducing the word size of the CPU from 32 bits to 4 bits, so that the transistors of its logic circuits would fit onto a single part. One or more microprocessors typically serve as the CPU in a computer system, embedded system, or handheld device.
