Any place that will fix a portable hard drive that is having problems being read through USB ports?

I have a portable hard drive tha all of a sudden stopped working. I have plugged it in numerous computers through the USB port and the computers will not read the hard drive. I have tried trouble shooting the hard drive with no success also. Are there any places such as Geek Squad or any other company that does this kind of work and may be able to get my hard drive to read?

have you tried looking in device manager to see if the drive is there? and if you have you might be able to fix it your self, it could just be a loose cable inside (there are only 2 so its not hard to see if there is)

depending on the size of the hdd, it is easy to troubleshoot, geek squad will be very expensive and a big waste, if needed i can do it for very cheap, but like most hdd workers, you cannot gantuee the total replacement of all data, it depends what has failed, contact me if you need details on troubleshooting or repair, nutz4hs@yahoo.com
