trying to copy films from my friend i got a Dell and a few years ago a friend put in my dvd rewriter in bought from pc world £40. no instructions or anything to be found ,my friends films are on dvd -r and my nero tells me its failed , someone told me my burner is a + and not compatable to copy theses films on -r?? what can i do is there a program about or just get a new burner pls

Look on the front of the drive it should bare the symbols + - that means it takes both disc's if it just as the + then you can only write to + disc's.
i think the problem is you have a dvd r and you need a dvd rw
you can go to the company site that made the dvd drive and find out
