ok i have windows vista and broad band internet with a custom computer with 2 gb of ram with amd athlonx2 2.6 ghz and for some reason secoundlife is crashing on me i have downloaded quicktime and after awile it crashes no laging but after 5 or 20minuts it crashes

Knowing the developers at SecondLife, they haven't implemented any Vista patches yet. I don't use Vista, but you might try checking to see if it has any compatibility options like XP does. You should be able to select which version of windows to emulate with that. I don't know if its a definite fix, but it might help until SecondLife does their next update to include Vista.
