Dual core or Quad core ?
Answers:
Depending on what you are going to be using the computer for, it is hard to say. If you are a big gamer and want to make the most awesomest gaming PC, wait for the QUAD, if you just want to do the basic computer stuff, but with a lot more attitude, go with the Dual. They are both good products, it's just depends on what you want it for and how much money you want to spend.
Also, never buy an AMD chip, they are basically crap.
quad core . :]
You pays your money and takes your choice.
There will ALWAYS be something shinier, prettier, faster and sexier just around the corner. You can wait forever to build the "ultimate" PC (wont happen!) or you can build the best you can afford now and actually enjoy using the thing rather than planning to use it.
go ahead with the current configuration, who knows if the upcoming processors may have some bugs in it. after all its developed by humans
Programs might not improve due to them not being programmed to run natively on new quad core chips. The same goes with XP-64 windows, how many applications use 64 bit and will run on it? If you want a pc now, go for the fastest available QC2Duo chip but try to get a motherboard that will support quadcore as later on you can upgrade the chip instead. Also, the quadcore chip might be a tad expensive upon general release.
If it were me, I'd just go with Dual Core for the time being. Quad Core may sound awesome, but with the extra heat they throw out (currently that is. I'm sure they'll improve upon that in the future), and programs not getting that much extra benefit from 4 cores, I don't really know if it would be worth the extra money.
Really, Dual Core can handle just about anything right now. I have a Pentium D 940 in my rig, and the response time is outstanding. :)
the quad family has not yet established its firm atleast in the indian markets ..still u can go wit quad core but dont forget to get a mother board tat can handle these high end processors go for the intel 975 xtreme board..
based on your budget (i.e. if money is no object), get a quad core, though there is little SW out that'll take advantage of even dual-core processors, let alone quads.
if you're counting dollars, stick with a dual core cause by the time quad cores are necessary (i.e. there's SW that'll use them), you'll be building a new machine anyway.
u just wait 4 quad core processor den u jst knw ab how 2 working ab speed performance
Dual core...
INTEL core 2 duo assemble this sytem this will take some time to enter in the market.
