For AMD CPU is FX better and faster than X2.?

for some origin FX series CPU is more expensive than X2 series CPU, but some X2 is faster than FX why? and the up coming Phenom FX, X2 and X4 CPU which one will be faster? the quad core(X4) or the FX?

Answer:
Okay here is the deal currently, subject to correct of course since AMD is subject to money their mind on what they release. First of the Phenom FX and Phenom X4 are both quad cores, with the X2 man dual core. All of the quads, FX and X4 are due in the subsequent few months, with the X2s coming then this year. The X4 will come in two speeds, 2.2Ghz and 2.4Ghz. The FX will also come within two, 2.6Ghz and 2.8Ghz. Here is where it get tricky. You are aware of AMDs Quad FX platform I assume, where you currently run two dual core chips to gain 4 cores. Well with the release of the topical FXs, you can now run 2 quad cores to seize a total of eight cores. This will be available for both the 2.6 and 2.8 versions of the FX chip. There will also be a seperate 2.6 reworked copy for the single socket AM2+. So if you plan on staying with the single socket setup, you will enjoy a choice between the FX at 2.6Ghz and the X4s at 2.4 and 2.2Ghz. So to answer your ultimate quiz, the FX will be a little faster than the X4.
Quad core X4 better, because it's multitasking handiness.
yes supposedly .. u can generally acquire some good memory and a wearing clothes board and oc an x2 to put out like an fx for partially the price tho ...
FX is the Extreme (or high-end) version of AMD processors. The FX series usually have the highest speed mate with the largest memory cache.
FX is a bit faster and have unlocked multipliers.

But personally, I deliberate it is more marketing hype and is faster at emptying your wallet. Look, it is supposed to be best for gaming. But best gaming and video deeds now is better determined by the GPU architecture as powerfully as v-ram speed. It is best to put your hard earn bucks on a 8800GTX or Ultra rather than on overpriced/overhyped processor.
IF you're really into supreme overclocking FX CPU is a choics but if you intended to do middle-of-the-road gaming etc. etc. Get an Intel Core 2 CPU a dual core will handle most of your games, the GPU is the most substantial function for the graphics detail.
What's the point of getting overpriced CPU when you don't need it?
