I have a maxtor hard drive and it dos'n't show in my computer or in disk management but dose show in hardware



Answers:
I am assuming this is a second hard drive that you have added to your computer.
If you just want to use it for storage, put the jumper [on the back of the drive] to the slave position.
It should then show up in my computer and you should be able to format it in disk management.
