Hard Drive Pin Help!?

Ok, i went to a new computer today and when i installed my old harddrive into the new computer, i put the connecter in backwards and pushed a pin through. Is there any way to fix this problem with like a new pin or something? I have been using the old hard drvie for artwork and dont have it backed up so i am in a delema of sorts.

Have you tried plugging the drive in and seeing if it works? Most IDE drives have pin 20 missing as a key. The pin across from it, 19, is a ground. There are numerous grounds in the IDE bus.

Try plugging the drive in normally and see if it works. If it does, get your data off of it ASAP, and then either send it in for repair (if under warranty) or try to push the pin back out yourself.

It might be easier if you removed the board from the drive when you do this....
you need to pull the pin out, try needle nose pliers or see if you can get to it from the back side
