Cant access pen drive?
Answers:
pen drives are plug and play requiring no driver. If you can't access it, sorry to say but it's most likely broken.
Insert the pen /flash drive, watch for the computer to recognize it. If you don't see it in "My Computer" you will need to restart the computer.
Go to "Start", "Turn Off Computer" and click on "Restart". Let the computer restart and once it has, your pen drive should show under my computer. For some reason when ever a pen/flash drive is plugged into my Dell (I hate Dell) at work it requires a restart before it will "see" the drive.
This ALWAYS works for me and at my job I have to print stuff for people off pen drives all the time.
Remember, when you remove the pen drive that you MUST do a correct removal before you pull it out or you will end up with corrupt files on the drive. Don't just pull it out.
In the lower right of your computer (where the time is) double-click on the little icon with the green arrow that shows "safely remove hardware". Make sure you check the box for "display device components" so you see all your removeable items, and select your pen drive, click on it once, then click "stop". You can then safely remove the pen drive. If you don't do that you risk corrupting the drive.
