CPU trouble?

I have a 1.8ghz CPU and want to install a 2.2ghz Cpu and they both R the same socket(478) But it doesn't work.What can I do

Answers:
You may have to reset the BIOS to allow it to recognise your new CPU. This is done using the motherboard jumpers as stated in your manual. If you don't have your manual go to the manufacturers website & download one.

I suggest that you make sure the motherboard bios is up tho date.

You may have to flash the bios to upgrade to your new cpu.
