I'm assuming that your PC have Windows XP on there. With a phone splash attached to the computer. Your computer can inheriantly be used as a regular fax machine. Go into your control panel. Click on Printers. You should see that some manner of fax is selected. Right click on your printer and goto set as defaulting. This should fix the problem.
