Are there any drivers in the web for a western digital MY BOOK external hard drive 500gb?

win xp recognizes it but no drivers are found.

That should be plug and play on the USB port. Since it is a mass storage device on the USB port, it is actually using Microsoft provided drivers under Windows System 32.
Most hard drives wont need a driver, or if they do it is on the hard drive itself. Tell windows to search the external hard drive for the drivers. (If it simply isn't working without drivers)
