i think theres something to do with your cooling system, some parts may overheated specially the processor it self.

Hit cntrl-alt-del and go into Task Manager.
Have a look which process or processes are taking up all your cpu time.
Stop (kill) those procesese, there are probable spyware/mallware processes.
To clean up permantly run anti virus/spyware tools.

there are certain factors contributing to your problem.
1.Your processor might be overheating, check if the CPU fan is still working by removing one side cover and turning on you PC. Be careful of electric shock though. Or your heat-sink might have accumulated so much dust, cool air cannot get into the CPU.
2. You probably have a lot of malicious programs and spy-wares on your PC. This programs eats up your processor without you knowing. You can find a lot of free anti-spy-ware on the net this days.
