Can I run faster DIMMs surrounded by a system designed for slower memory?

you can other use faster memory in any system as long as it its like type. ie pc4300 in a pc3200 system. It will run at the slower speed.
DDR2 cannot be used contained by a system that takes regular ddr memory close to pc3200.
Yes you can. However, it will only run at the speed that the motherboard supports. Also, you can NOT put slower memory within a faster motherboard. It will not work.
Yes you can run a slower Dimms, they "should" run at the slower setting, unless your motherboard has a bios setting that allows you to switch the clock freq. on your memory.
Also understand that this may basis instability in your system.
