I have a budget of $150 I need to find the best Motherboard and Memory (1GB+) to run FL Studio suggestions ?
P.s. I'm using a PC not Mac

getting ram should speed up proccessing. that should be all you need.
Well, 1 gig of RAM itself costs from $80 to $120, so there isn't much of a chance to find a motherboard as well if you get the RAM. Motherboards w/ processor also tend to be expensive, so you may not even be able to afford one.

Umm, if you replace the motherboard, you are also going to need to ensure that the rest of your components (hard drive, cd drives, sound cards, etc. AND ESPECIALLY your processor) will fit the new motherboard.
The motherboard is (essentially) the piece that connects all of the computer pieces together, and allows them to "talk" to each other. They are not wholly interchangable with one another.
You need to make sure it has the right "form factor" to fit your computer case, and the right socket for your processor, as well as all of the other computer parts you intend to use.

I run it fine with 256 mb ram, Pentium 2 Processor, and Windows XP PRO.
