Are Seagate internal Desktop PC hard drives worth buying?

How about Hitachi or Western Digital?

Answers:
I had a 80GB Seagate that was 14 months old and crashed. Maybe just a lemon that slipped through the cracks. I previously used Western Digital before the Seagate with no problems. I replaced my Seagate with a 80 GB Western Digital and happy I did. WD is a SATA and carries a 3 year warranty.
All three are very high quality manufactures.

Go for SATA if you buy one

I swear by Western Digital, ive been using them for years without any reliability problems.
Absolutely they are worth buying, they are definately one of the top hard drive makers out there. Western Digital is the other top maker, I would put Hitachi right behind the two of them. Every manufacturer will have lemons, but overall Seagate is one of your best brands out there. All companies make both SATA and IDE hard drives.
