Whats better RAM then RAMBUS?

DDR2 is based on RAMBUS technlology. A lot of the engineers who worked on the RAMBUS project moved on to other companies (such as Crucial, etc) and took their knowledge with them.. The RAMBUS folks tried to sue because it was "too close".
RAMBUS is great, but because only one company made it, the prices were always far too high.
AMDs worked well w/ DDR because it was engineered around it, the original P4's worked well w/ RAMBUS because it was engineered around it.. and now all the newer CPUs are engineered around DDR2 so it's hard to say what is 'better'.. but my vote would have to go w/ DDR2 (and perhaps now w/ DDR3 for those CPUs which support that).
