What should I do if I want a wireless headset to use with Skype but my computer doesn't have bluetooth?

I heard I can get a USB bluetooth transmitter for my computer. Where's the best place to get one and how much should I expect to pay for bluetooth transmitter and headset? Do I have to buy them separately?

Also, does a bluetooth signal pass through walls? What kind of range can I expect if there's a wall between me and my computer?
