A new cpu but which one??

i am going to buy a cpu and there is a problem.
which one is better??
there are 2 cpu's in the same price and:
1:intel core 2 duo 1.83ghz 2mb cache
2:intel pentium D 3.2 ghz dual core 2x2mb cache
i don't want to pay more than this. thanks

Answers:
Core 2 duo is the best of the 2 , since it wil be useful when doing multi task activities like listening to music, browsing the net and running ur AV scanner all at the same time. The Core 2 duo is a gud bet and worth the money..Nowadays Ghz speed doesnt matter at all..Its how effecient the processor processes the data with less waste of power.
3.2 or 1.8, 3.2 or 1.8.hmmmmmm. Must you ask?!
Intel core 2 duo is the best one to go for...
I have it...
It gives the best performance..
1....Hands down.
d 3.2 is best
If you do lots of things at once, multitasking, audio/video, =1.
If you run single heavy req programs 1 at a time = 2.
