I've plugges surrounded by speakers to my notebook but I still can't hear video clips etc?

Try -Control panel - sounds and video devices - I don`t know muted or volume down!
The most common problem is you simply enjoy the speakers plugged in wrong.

At first,trademark sure you have adjectives video/audio codec.
Use lastest updates for soundcard driver.
Chack control panel and sound device.
If in that no sound device thats way you didnt install your device good.
Depands on software you use,try to see audio output and scale nouns to maximum.

First, I know it sounds basic, but 1) engender sure it is not muted. 2) Do the speakers have an on/off button 3) You own to make sure also both the Windows built-in voulme is up as in good health as the Media player you are using. 4) Make sure you are pluging it in the correct inlet, as in attendance are three at least, speaker, mic, and line-in 5) Try beside anothe media player to build sure that is not the problem. VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) have a very nice and free one that plays everyhting.6) It could be related to not have the correct sound codecs installed.
Be sure to plug the speakers to the green-outlined port contained by either your nouns card or your motherboard's built-in sound port. If that doesn't solve your problem, disable your motherboard's built-in nouns device and specify that you are going to use your sound/media card instead. You can to this by going to Control Panel->Sound and Audio Devices->click the audio tab, then click on the dropdown boxes and select your sound/media card from the roll. If that still doesn't work, check the Internet for your card's updated driver.
What are you using for a player? The player will have a volume control build sure it is turned up. Check the audio mixer (if using the default window mixer double click on the speaker by the clock) that all the volume sliders are at max.
Do you return with any sound such as the beep and such when windows open? If not check the device manager (in XP right click on "My Computer" click on "Manage" and click on "Device Manager". There should be a catagory "nouns, Video and game controlers" which should show the drivers for your nouns card. If they are instead listed instead underneath the Other catagory then your tech didnt nouns the drivers.
Next which port are you plugged into. Check the icons on the different audio card that you are plugged into audio out and you are now plugged into the origional nouns jacks on the front of the case or attached to the motherboard (if the tech installed a clean sound card the built contained by should have be disabled and will not work if you try to use them).
Lastly check in the control panel beneath Sounds and audio devices that the new card is set as the evasion
The problem you're now delivery is either due to a pop-up blocker or your firewall. The pop-up blocker is trying to prevent further window from opening up on your desktop. You should be capable of 'make an exception' in the controls of your pop-up blocker. I'm afraid I can't guide you further as you haven't stated which pop-up blocker you're using.
If it's your firewall that's cause the 'problem', it shows that it's doing it's job. It's unloading a signal that's trying to make contact near your computer. Again, you'll need to 'make an exception' for bbc.co.uk within it's controls. Sorry, but it's slightly different for different firewalls as to how you accomplish this.
Hopefully, you'll be able to discover how to cause the relevant exceptions, and thereby allow transmissions from BBC to access your computer. (You might like to try disabling your pop-up blocker whilst you're on the BBC site, and re-enabling it once you're done ... if it's the pop-up blocker that's prevent you getting through.)
