Videocard / mobo upgrade question.?
im getting a new mobo tremendously soon and am wondering what one to get.
i enjoy a pentium d oc'd to 3.8 LGA775
2gb of ddr 533 ram
1 sata dvd, 3 sata hdd, 1 settle dvd and 2 ide hdd
i own a 20/24 pin and 4/8 pin on my power supply
need at most minuscule 3 pci slots, i want 2 pciex for sli also.
about the videocard. the 8k's look promising, but the 2k's from ati look approaching their gonna kick the crap outta the 8k's
should i dawdle, or get a fresh vid card now, and which one should i procure. im not stressing the vid carde right now produce i can play oblivion on milieu settings fine, and when i get the full 16x experience i can up the settings.
appreciation

Answer:
The ATI 2000's have be somewhat underwhelming so far. Like you I thought from the buzz they were gonna see the crap out of nVidia, but the have be basically on par beside their equally priced counterparts, and nothing have been competent to touch the 8800GTX yet.
As for motherboards, this is my opinion, especially considering you are planning to overclock:http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... only problem is that it lone has one IDE trench, so you would have to drop one of your IDE devices. If you must preserve all your IDE devices, move about with this one:http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
