Echoey sound on my computer, Does anyone know how to fix it?

The sound is echoey, if that makes sense! Whenever I stop the sound it ends with a hiss. For example, it happens on Youtube, Internet Radios and with or without headphones.

Go into the GUI (graphical user interface) and make sure you dont have any effects on. I had a customer call with echoing sound once and he have an effect turned on causing it and he swore he didn't select it.
If your sound card is integrated then try reinstalling the drivers to see if that helps. If it's one of the newer Sound Blaster cards you might have your environmental effects turned on. Things like EAX have certain audio effects that can produce things like echos or reverb. Also try seeing if you don't have a microphone hooked up those can cause that too.
Right click on my computer.
select properties and then device manager.
see if any sound driver is missing due to romve of some program
reinstal it.
