Can someone tell me why my dvd burner is running slow on my dell e1705, roxie, dvd shrink?

There are a ton of reasons why this might be happening, but you should specify what "slow" is. If you are using DVD Shrink to rip DVDs, it will take 1-2 hours depending on the speed of your computer (processor, memory, DVD speed). Most new DVD Burners support up to 16x recording and 24x reading. Make sure you buy DVDs that support that speed. I recommend the Verbatim 16x DVD-Rs - they've never let me down and are affordable.
Also, you might want consider trying the Nero Burning ROM suite, it is known to be faster and to have more options (and easier integration for DVD Shrink).

There were a few BAD reviews. Read 'em. Did you try UPdating the dvd driver? It must still be under warantee?
