Additional computer fan?

where on earth would i find the additional hanger-on connectors (ports) on the motherboard? Does it have a pet name? a distinct look?

Answer:
Typically they are three or four pin connectors just resembling the CPU fan. It will be labeled something approaching CHSFAN or SYS-FAN. If you want too add extramural fans, you could only go near standard four pin connectors directly off the power supply. The same type as your HD and DVD/CD ROM drives!
Best is to look surrounded by your motherboard manual. It may even be coming rotten your power supply. You can your motherboard manual from the maker web site.
If nearby are no more spare connectors on the motherboard, you could opt to connect the extra fans directly to the 4 pin molex of the power supply. You might call for an adaptor to do that.
