Are apple macs better for producing music than the pc/laptop/desktop?

I have just purchased a soundcard and other hardware to work on my songs, that has come bundled with cubase LE (which i'll upgrade at some point), but I am new to this and feel quite out of my depth at the moment trying to grasp all these new concepts! I've been advised not to use the internet on the computer I'm using for music, so I am thinking of getting a new one, but I'm not sure which is most suitable - and user friendly for producing music on.

Answers:
It depends on the spec of the computer, mac and windows can produce the same music but mac had more software to produce quality music.
PCs are generally better performaning computers simply because Windows is a tougher OS to run, so from a performance stand-point, PC wins. With hardware, the PC has the ability to run a sistercar-style soundcard, or a PCI soundcard, which will eliminate electrical noise during recording, which you can't get around with a MAC, so PC wins the hardware fight. The one aspect MAC has going for it is that it comes bondled with a decent music editing program. For the bloated price of the MAC however, you can buy yourself a better pc and the required software for about the same price and have a much better work station.
